The first of its kind in the world… Asus unveils 3D OLED technology

by time news

ASUS is in full swing at CES in Las Vegas, where it recently unveiled a controversial new software technology that will be introduced with some OLED laptops to enable users to see in 3D without the need for glasses.

According to a gizmochina technical report, Acer has announced SpatialLabs TrueGame technology that enables users to play 3D games without the need for dedicated 3D glasses. Now, the Taiwanese laptop maker is following suit, releasing similar technology, and will bring ASUS Spatial Vision to OLED laptop displays, which is what it describes as “3D OLED technology for an autostereoscopic viewing experience.”

ASUS Spatial Vision-enabled PCs will be able to use a combination of a double-convex lens and advanced eye-tracking camera technology to deliver a 3D experience, which is technology that presents separate images for each eye and tracks the position of your head and eyes to adjust image output. Asus will release Spatial Vision 3D technology on two laptops in the second quarter of 2023, the ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED and Vivobook Pro 16 3D OLED as the first stage.

Asus introduces the new technology to these laptops first because it has a high resolution of 3200 x 2000 pixels with a high screen refresh rate of 120Hz. On top of all of the above, these mobile devices feature an optical resin coating, glass plate, and biconvex lens that help work with a pair of eye-tracking cameras to display images in real time.
