New Delhi: The person involved in the incident of urinating on a fellow passenger on an Air India flight has been identified. The police have sought permission to issue a look-out notice against him. The police said that Shankar Mishra, a native of Mumbai, is the accused in the case. It is reported that he is not cooperating with the investigation. Police reached Shankar Mishra’s residence in Mumbai, but he is said to be absconding.

Shankar Mishra works as a vice president of an American multinational financial services company. The company is headquartered in California. A case was registered against Mishra on charges of insulting womanhood, using force, indecency in a public place and violating aircraft regulations.​

According to the FAAR registered by the Delhi Police, the incident took place on November 26, but Air India complained to the police on January 4. The letter given by the complainant to the Chairman of the Tata Group has been included in the FIR. The complainant asked to change her seat but the flight crew refused. Shankar demanded the arrest of Mishra but tried to compromise.
