Russian media reported yesterday (Wednesday) that Vladimir Putin sent for training purposes a warship carrying deadly supersonic missiles that fly five times the speed of sound and are very difficult to intercept.
The ship was sent for practice and training throughout the Atlantic and Indian Oceans and across the Mediterranean Sea.
According to a report by the Russian news agency TASS, Putin spoke with the ship’s commander and the Russian defense minister before it left the port in northern Russia. The Russian president boasted that no country in the world has such an attack ship, and that its unique missiles will protect Russia’s interests and prevent potential threats from the sea.

According to the report, it is not clear whether Putin intends to use the new and deadly warship in the war that is taking place these days against Ukraine, because it is not certain that it can be reflected in this type of war.
One of Putin’s only options is to fire the deadly missiles from the northern end of the Mediterranean towards Ukraine, but this would require passing over NATO countries, which would further anger the Western world, something the Russians would prefer to avoid.
The placement of the magnificent ship diverts public discourse from the heavy losses suffered by the Russians on the battlefield in Ukraine in recent days, and from the many criticisms of the power of the Russian army.
During this, Putin is actually trying to signal to the Western world that the harsh sanctions imposed on his country following the war do not succeed in harming the military power and do not affect the strength of the Russian army.
