The French government has taken this decision with the aim of controlling the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

In this regard, French government spokesperson Olivier Veran said in his tweet, “France has introduced a program to provide free contraceptives without a doctor’s prescription.

He further said, ‘Since last year, free contraceptives are being provided to women under the age of 25’.

And France has come up with a program that provides free contraceptives without a doctor’s prescription. Since last year, free contraceptives have been provided to women below 25 years of age. However, the new scheme aims to cater to young women under the age of 18, he said.

French President Emmanuel Macron made this announcement at the beginning of last December. Meanwhile, the scheme has been implemented in France since the New Year. Currently the health scheme is being introduced for the youth between the ages of 18-25 but it is said that soon it will be extended to minors.

According to reports, the number of sexually transmitted diseases in France has increased by 30 percent in 2020 and 2021.
