Meta has been fined INR 3,416 crore by the Government of Ireland for the theft of users’ private information.

It is now becoming common for hackers to break into popular social media sites and steal information. That’s how the allegation of theft of users’ private information from the popular social networking site Facebook arose.

Because of this, the government of Ireland has accused Meta, the parent company of Facebook, and imposed a fine of 44.1 million dollars on Meta in that country.

The Indian value of this fine is estimated at Rs 3,416 crore. This fine has happened 3 times before. It is noteworthy that so far the Irish government has imposed a fine of around 7 thousand crore rupees on the Indian estimate of Meta.
