Mexico City: 29 people were killed in violence following the arrest of Mexican drug mafia boss Ovidio Guzman. 19 attackers and 10 soldiers were killed. The violence took place in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. Terrifying footage of this has come out.

Ovidio is the son of Joaquim Guzmán, the former boss of the notorious Mexican drug mafia. Joaquim Guzmán Loera, also known as El Chapo, is known as the richest and most powerful drug kingpin in the world. El Chapo escaped from prison whenever he was caught. Guzmán, who escaped in 2001, was captured 13 years later but escaped again a year ago. In July 2015, Guzmán escaped from a maximum-security prison in Mexico through a one-and-a-half-kilometer AC tunnel built by his followers. He was finally caught in January 2016 and was extradited to the United States the following year. El Chapo is serving a life sentence in a prison in Colorado. Now El Chapo’s 32-year-old son has also been arrested by the Mexican authorities.

The Mexican Ministry of Defense said Ovideo was captured after a fierce encounter with a mafia group. Ovidio was subdued in the city of Culiacana, the stronghold of the group. The governor of Sinaloa had warned city dwellers not to leave their homes. As the armed police began to move, the mafia started attacking by blocking roads and setting fire to vehicles.

After El Chapo was extradited to the United States, Ovidio became the head of the Mafia. This is the second time he has been arrested. Although he was arrested in 2019, the authorities released him soon after he was threatened by the mafia group for the safety of the people of Sinaloa.
