Speaking at the music launch of Varisu, actor Sarathkumar said, “I said on the 175th day of Surya Vamsam that Vijay is the future superstar. Now it has happened. Vijay is the superstar,” fueling the fan conflict.
Following this, film critic and journalist Bismi, speaking on a YouTube platform, endorsed heir producer Dilraju’s speech.
Annoyed by his speech that “Vijay is the number one grossing actor in Tamil cinema in today’s environment”, Rajini fans directly argued with him and later expressed regret for it.
Director and Naam Tamilar Party coordinator Seeman condemned the action of Rajini fans.
“Brother Vijay is at the peak of being highly likable by today’s generation. The act of Rajinikanth fans who tried to threaten brother Bismi for explaining this reality and sharing opinions is civil,” he had also issued a statement.
At the music launch of “Irumban” held yesterday (Friday), Seeman reiterated his opinion that “Today’s superstar in Tamil cinema is Vijay”.
On the other hand, actor Sarathkumar has given a new interpretation to his talk about the superstar.
In an interview to a YouTube channel, he explained, “I told Warisu Music on stage that I said at the success of Surya Vamsam that Vijay’s development will make him a superstar. But I never said that Rajinikanth is not a superstar and Ajith Kumar is not a superstar.” .
While the debate on who is the superstar is going on on social media, on the other hand, the trailers of both Warisu and Thadhavu are trending on YouTube with great response from fans.
Both the films will hit the screens in the early hours of January 11. As the bookings for the film have already started in theaters, Vijay and Ajith fans are already preparing to celebrate the release.
