Kasaragod food poisoning death: report says serious infection in internal organs, chemical test to be conducted

Kasaragod: Anjushree’s internal organs, who died due to food poisoning, will be chemically tested. The internal organs will be sent to a forensic lab for expert examination. Initial reports indicate that Anjushree’s death was due to a serious infection in the internal organs. The DMO’s report has been forwarded to the Director of Health. The chemical test is to clarify the death.

According to the report given by the DMO to the director of the health department, Ajushree’s death was due to septicemia with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. The preliminary report also says that a detailed post-mortem report is required to clarify more details.

Anjushree (19), daughter of Kumaran Nair of Kasaragod Perumbala Benur, died due to food poisoning. Suqutbayali contracted food poisoning after eating a meal ordered from Al Romansia Hotel. Anushree, mother, younger brother and a relative girl had eaten. They also had physical discomfort. Three people, including the hotel owner, have been taken into custody. The investigation by the Food Safety Department and the police is ongoing.
