Axar Patel dismisses Jadeja – a new record for himself

All-rounder Axar Patel, who played action in the 2nd T20 match with the Sri Lankan team, has created the record of becoming the first Indian player to score the most runs in the 7th row in T20 matches.

The 3rd T20I series between India and Sri Lanka has been won by both the teams and the 3rd and final match will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium today.

Sri Lankan openers Kusal Mendis and Padum Nisanka, who batted first in the second match, got off to an impressive start by collecting 80 runs in the first over of 8.2 overs.

Nisanga scored 33 runs and Kusal Mendis scored 52 runs off 31 balls. After that, Sarith Asalanga, the players who came to paddle, scored 39 runs and Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka crossed the fifty in 20 balls.

Facing 22 balls, Shanaka scored 56 runs and amassed 206 runs in 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 207, the Indian team was bowled out for 57 runs. After that, Suryakumar and Axar Patel, who entered the field, paddled tremendously and crossed the half-century and increased the number of runs a little.

Both scored 90 runs off 42 balls. Suryakumar Yadav was bowled out for 51 runs, scoring 65 runs off 31 balls and was dismissed at the end of the last delivery.

India managed to score only 190 runs in the 20th over and lost by 16 runs. Axar Patel, who replaced Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian team, broke Jadeja’s record.

Axar Patel scored 65 runs off 31 balls at number 7 and became the highest run scorer in number 7 by an Indian player. Prior to this, in 2020, Jadeja scored 44 runs in the 7th row, which was a record.
