Colombo (News 1st) A Tamil political prisoner was released today after 14 years.

Kanakaratnam Adityan was arrested and jailed in 2009 under the Prevention of Terrorism Act on charges of smuggling sophisticated equipment for the LTTE.

Kanakaratnam Adityan was arrested in 2009 in connection with this incident.
