Pune: Maharashtra posted 350 for 6 in the first innings in their Ranji Trophy Elite B division league match against Tamil Nadu. In the match which started yesterday at the MCA Stadium, the Tamil Nadu team won the toss and bowled first. Ruduraj Gaekwad and Chitesh Vir both opened the innings for Maharashtra. While Siddesh was out for 9 runs, Rahul Tripathi was out for 7 runs, Ruduraj – Kedar Jadhav added 81 runs for the 3rd wicket. Kedar were bowled out for 56 before skipper Ankit Bawne returned to the pavilion with 45.
Sourav Navale scored 5 runs and Ashay Palkar took 11 runs and lost the wicket. Even though the wicket fell at one end, Ruduraj, who played tremendously, scored a century.
