Paris: Several people were injured after a knife-wielding assailant opened fire at the famous Gare du Nord train station in the French capital, Paris. Police nabbed the assailant.

Regarding this incident, the country’s Minister of Interior, Gerald Dorman, said on his Twitter page, “This incident took place at the Gare du Nord railway station at 6.40 am local time today. The police arrested the person involved in the incident,” he said.

Carre du Nord is one of the busiest railway stations in Europe. The station plays an important role in connecting Paris, London and the North of Europe. In this case, the train service was greatly affected due to this incident which took place early in the morning.

After the incident, the police conducted an intensive search. After that, the information coming from there indicates that the traffic is running normally at this railway station.
