KIt was on the last day that the statue of Mohanlal starrer Odiyan went missing. One of the two peony sculptures placed in front of director VA Sreekumar’s office in Palakkad was taken away. A person had told Sreekumar over the phone that he had made the incident happen. Now the director has shared the CCTV video of the idol being taken away.

‘Everybody wants to see the scene where the fun-loving admirer takes the peony with him. We all laughed after seeing the scenes on the CCTV camera. Everyone liked the joke of the Laletan fan, the suffering of being taken away, the honesty of being taken away.

“Don’t worry Srikumar sir. I took one of Lalettan’s statues and brought them home. I’m here to become a person. No one knows. Sorry sir. It’s like I have no value in the country. If I bring the statue home, it will have a value. It’s to make a name, sir,” said the person who took the statue the other day. It was said in the message sent to the director.
