In Chennai, jewelery gold is selling at Rs 41,888 a bar on Thursday.
Gold prices have seen a bullish trend over the last one month, although periodic fluctuations in gold prices are a regular occurrence.
Gold prices have continued to rise for over a week, with a sawan selling as high as Rs 41,040 on Dec 31.
In this case, the price of gold rose again on Thursday (Jan. 12). In Chennai, the price of 22 carat jewelery rose by Rs 6 per gram to Rs 5,236 per gram. As a result, the price of a shaver has increased by Rs.48 to Rs.41,888 per shaver.

Whereas, the price of silver is sold at the same price as on Wednesday without any change. That means one gram is sold at Rs.74.00 and one kg is sold at Rs.74,000.
