Wayanad: A farmer died after being seriously injured in a tiger attack in Mananthavadi Pudusherry. Thomas (Salu 50) died in Pallipuram. The tiger attacked near the house on Thursday morning.
His arms and legs were injured in the tiger attack. He also suffered a heart attack while being taken to the hospital. The death occurred in a private hospital in Kalpetta.
The tiger was first seen by the women who were employed. Then the forest guards were informed. While they were searching, the tiger attacked Thomas. Besides the forest officials, the search for the tiger is going on under the leadership of Deputy Collector and Tehsildar.
As there is no forest in the vicinity, the arrival of the tiger has created concern among the locals. An alert was issued in the area after the presence of the tiger was detected.
