The teacher behaved very badly; Not nominated for acting in a play: Grace Antony

Grace Antony says she experienced a lot of neglect during her school days. Grace also said that children are not bullied at school for acting in a play.

The actress also said that while learning Bharatanatyam, the teacher stopped her at the very back saying that the tile where she danced would break. Grace said that the teacher treated her very badly that day. The actor said these things in an interview with Dhanya Varma.

“The kids didn’t even bench me for acting in a play. By the time the play is practiced, almost a period will have passed. When he comes back to class, he sees four people on the bench. He said there was no space and did not sit near him.

I have faced many such neglects in my youth. So I don’t like the school where I did plus one and plus two. I always think that the artist has to face these said omissions.

It’s not just me but a lot of people have to face it. Or having a godfather or father figure who helps financially. I didn’t have anyone like that.

Then and now I don’t have the thought of making those around me happy. My parents are happy. I had enough of that. In the Bharatnatyam class, I was singled out by everyone and the teacher kept me aside after saying that the tile in the area where I was playing was broken.

The teacher treated me very badly that day. I left that Bharatanatyam class and joined another Bharatanatyam class. I have been doing this since I was a small child. “There was still something holding me back,” said Grace Anthony.
