Dubai: UAE court sentences Chinese nationals who kidnapped and tortured a young woman. The court sentenced 4 Chinese citizens to 3 years imprisonment. The court issued an order in this regard based on a complaint filed by a Chinese woman in Dubai.

The incident in question was in August 2022. The woman complained that she was abducted, beaten up and tortured at gunpoint. The woman alleges that after unlocking the mobile phone, 8000 units (30,000 dirhams) were transferred from the digital currency wallet to the accused’s account and besides this, she stole 8000 dirhams from her purse and a bag worth 7500 dirhams.
The accused also threatened to publish the woman’s nude picture online if she complained to the police. However, regardless of this, the woman lodged a complaint with the police. The accused were arrested during the subsequent investigation.
