Itzik Kala in painful exposure: “I didn’t believe I would return to singing, they said there was no chance of living”

by time news

In an interview with Ranin Bolus and Avi Shoshan on Ynet Radio, he talks about the difficult time he went through, and the strength that brought him back to the audience. “My wife was injured in a very serious attack. They told me that she had no chance of living,” said Kala about the attack in 2012 in which his wife Ziona was injured by stones thrown at her car. “For 15 days she was unconscious, we were all around her. Some accepted rabbi came and said ‘on the 15th day she will wake up’. I talked to the doctors and they told me ‘there is no chance’ – and on the 15th day she woke up.”

While his family is still recovering from the difficult event, Kella found out that he has cancer of the vocal cords. “I didn’t perform for four years. I was on stage for 50 years with 33 albums and then I fell ill with a serious illness that I don’t wish on any person in the world. I was disconnected from myself. I wasn’t in this world. I didn’t believe I would return to singing. The doctors didn’t believe it. It was so Difficult. With such difficult treatments.”
