Madurai AIIMS chairman senior doctor Nagarajan passes away. He is 76 years old.
Madurai-based neurotherapist Nagarajan Venkataraman was appointed as the chairman of AIIMS Madurai on October 22 last year. National Neuroscience Research Group Chairman, Dr. M.G.R. He has held many responsibilities including Honorary Professor of Medical University, Chairman of Ethical Committee of Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital. He is the father-in-law of Dr. Radhakrishnan, Senior IAS Officer and Tamil Nadu Cooperative Secretary.
He succumbed to heart attack at Borur Ramachandra Hospital around 12 midnight. Nagarajan’s body has been kept at his residence in Thiruvanmiyur for last rites.
Cooperative Department Secretary Radhakrishnan said, “It is with deep sorrow that I would like to share with you that my beloved father-in-law Dr. V Nagarajan has passed away. He passed away today at 12.15 am. Dr. V Nagarajan is a leading neurologist and Chairman of Ethics Committees in many top academic and professional institutes.
He is also a graduate of MD, DM, MNAMS, DSC, FRCP Glasgow, FACP (US). Also Honorary Professor of Madurai Government Rajaji Medical College, Dr. He was also the Chairman of MGR Medical University and AIIMS Madurai. “Nothing can compensate the loss that his death has caused to our family and his friends,” he said
