Chennai: The price of jewelery gold in Chennai is Rs 42,368.
Gold prices have been trending upwards for more than a month, although periodic fluctuations in gold prices are a regular occurrence.
The price of gold has continued to rise for over a week, with a sawan selling at Rs 41,040 on Dec 31. After crossing 42k on January 9th, it touched 42k again yesterday.
In this case, the price of gold rose again on Saturday (Jan.14).
In Chennai, the price of 22 carat jewelery rose by Rs 46 per gram to Rs 5,296 per gram. This saw an increase of Rs.368 per shaver to Rs.42,368 per shaver.
Meanwhile, silver rose by Rs 1 per gram to Rs 75 per gram and Rs 75,000 per kg.
