Steven Soderbergh, the director of ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and ‘Magic Mike’ turns 60

Steven Andrew Soderbergh born January 14, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia. His father, Peter Andrew Soderbergh, was of Swedish descent, the son of an immigrant from Stockholm. Steven grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he began experimenting with the camera around age 13. Among his first jobs in film was as a freelance editor.
