Mumbai:

Indian cricket team’s young wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was involved in a car accident on the 30th. The car he was driving crashed into a road block and burst into flames. Fortunately, he escaped unhurt. Initially treated in Dehradun, he was later shifted to Mumbai and is undergoing treatment at a hospital there. He has suffered major damage to his ankle. An operation has been done to repair the two torn parts of the tendon. In the next 6 weeks another operation is scheduled for a torn ligament.

As things stand, Rishabh Pant is unlikely to play most of the cricket matches this year. At least 6 months of rest is required. Thus IPL He misses the series completely. Similarly, cricket board sources have said that it is doubtful that he will be fit for the 50-over World Cup in India in October and November.
