Doha: Qatar’s courtyard pays tribute to the Malayalam women volunteers who made history in the FIFA World Cup. More than 300 Malayali women were felicitated in a function called ‘Salute Her’ at ICC Ashoka Hall.
Qatar Women’s National Volleyball Team member Laila Mohammed inaugurated the event. Khalifa International Stadium Assistant Venue Manager Maha Ali Muhammad, ICBF President Vinod Nair, MES School Principal Dr. Hamida Khader, Nadumatham President Sajna Zaki, Cultural Forum President A.C. Munish, Jamsheer Hamza, Hamza Kollaroth, Shabir East Valley, Muhammad Al Fahad, CH Haskar and others participated.
Riyadah Medical Center Privilege Card was released by MD Jamsheer Hamza to President Sajna Zaki. Gifts to the guests were presented by the Natutumam Secretariat and Central Committee members and certificates and gifts to the volunteers were presented by the chief guests and the Natutumam Central Committee members.
Central Committee member Jolly Thomas introduced the courtyard. Irfan Yasin, Amal Fatima, Hawasin Shamim, Sandra K. Sabish and Tanal Khadija presented art programs.
