In connection with the political situation, the so-called hacktivists were added to the hackers, who were recruited en masse in social networks and Telegram channels, Cheech explained. Their activity was directed mainly at state institutions and significantly increased the number of attacks, he continued. The main vectors were DDoS and web attacks on public resources of government agencies, Pavlov added. The goal of the attackers, according to him, is to create additional tension in society due to defaces (substituting one web page for another with the publication of a message from hackers), inaccessibility of resources significant to the population and leaks of user data.
