Mumbai: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP Sanjay Rawat has come forward to criticize the BJP on the issue of Deepika Padukone and Urfi Javed. The Shiv Sena leader said that the BJP is attacking actresses like Urfi Javed and Deepika Padukone to divert attention from the real problems of the people.
Sanjay Rawat has criticized the BJP in an article written in the MP party mouthpiece Samna. His criticism is in the weekly column on the editorial page. Politics in Maharashtra is in the hands of some dogs. Sanjay Rawat also alleged in the article that no issue is being raised in the state except Urfi Javed’s dress.
The Shiv Sena leader’s response came shortly after BJP leader Chitra Wag filed a complaint against Urfi Javed. The Mumbai police had called Urfi, a social media star and TV star, for questioning in this complaint.
BJP’s morality police is playing against Urfi Javed in the name of culture. This is when Urfi became more famous. Urfi now came directly against the BJP leaders. It should be remembered that all this happened in Delhi when a woman was dragged in a car and killed in a horrible way – Sanjay Rawat says in his article.
Like the Urfi Javed issue, the Shiv Sena leader also criticizes the BJP’s protests against Shah Rukh Khan’s new film Pathan. Rawat mentioned that BJP leaders including Deepika Padukone attacked Deepika Padukone for wearing a saffron bikini in the song ‘Besharam Rang’.
Was he angry with Deepika Padukone only for her saffron bikini? Deepika Padukone went to JNU and supported the student protest. This angered the BJP. Now they are making trouble with Deepika’s dress. At the same time, Rawat accused many BJP leaders wearing saffron clothes of doing uncivilized things.
Rawat alleged that the BJP leaders have links with the Censor Board and that is why many scenes in the film Pathan were cut. In the editorial, Rawat says that even when Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh was accused of sexism, BJP members were talking about Urfi Javed and her clothes.
