The Ministry of Agriculture will increase by more than 50% the amount of support for finding a warm home for thousands of stray dogs every year, Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter announced today (Monday). According to him, since the support began in 2018, there has been an increase in the treatment of the stray dogs by the local authorities; In light of this, it was decided to increase the investment in the field to more than NIS 6 million in the coming year
According to the authorities’ reports, in the first half of 2022, approximately 3,220 stray dogs were able to find an adoptive home. 10% of them underwent rehabilitation and behavioral training in preparation for adoption.
