‘Nelson was not to be measured by the beast, failure affected him greatly’ | Entertainment News

Arun Gopi’s post about Tamil director Nelson Dilip Kumar has gone viral on social media. There were reports that the failure of the film Beast left Nelson mentally exhausted and he was working on sleep for his next film Jailer. Seeing the hard work for the film, even Rajini inquired about Nelson’s health. Arun’s response was to borrow a note written by one Naveen in this regard.

Below is the note shared by Arun Gopi:

“The first film is the director who did not walk away. He is the owner of Manas who came back after a lot of effort and made his first film a success. He is the man who was on the Times of India’s “Most Promising Directors” list of 2018. The belief is that Nelson is a director who should not be measured by a beast.

Always fond of those who come back from failures..Priyam starting with Fahad and reaching Mohammad Siraj.. Now hope that the last person in that group will be Nelson.. While there is no dispute that Beast is a bad movie, how much that defeat affected him sometimes is beyond what we can imagine.. Mental stress too. He goes even at the worst time including stress.. wants.. to overcome all that and come back..

The change in a year for a man who generally came across as very pleasant in interviews and stage shows is absolutely terrifying. You can criticize his movies and his writing.. but I don’t think many people will find reasons to hate the man Nelson Dilip Kumar.

In Thalaivar films, there is a background setting that the director slowly builds when the hero takes a step back.. The more harsh it becomes.. The more gossebumps the comeback offers.. There is an adrenaline rush that you get when you see a grand comeback from a theater where you think the hero is completely gone. Yes, I want Rajini’s return in jail too.. Rajini’s return.. along with that man.

There are things that we often overlook in the people around us..some smiles that disappear suddenly…some isolations..some standing aside..hold them together..because..mental health is so important.”
