In the lottery draw held last Saturday night, the second prize was particularly high and amounted to NIS 3,750,000 in the lottery and up to NIS 7,500,000 in the double lottery. In the lottery, three people won the second prize: one person won in the normal route in the amount of 1,250,000 shekels, and two more in the double lotto route, who won double the amount in the amount of 2,500,000 shekels each.
“All the zeros confused me for a moment”
On Monday, two days after the draw, the two winners of the second prize in the double lotto route arrived one after the other, minutes apart. “At that moment I was in the clouds. The first thing I did, before I called to tell my wife, was to play the song ‘Million Dollar’ by Noa Kirel to myself. It sounded funny but I just listened to the song out loud, danced with myself and called my wife to tell her: ‘My love, turn off All the worries! We’re sorted!’ I really had to swear to her that this was the real thing and not a joke.”
When asked what he intends to do with the winnings, he replied: “A year ago we got married and we live in a rented apartment. Now we will be able to purchase a property for ourselves. We are modest people, and our joy now is that we will be able to continue our lives from now on with a little less worry.”
