California ∙ Lions Clubs International California District Four C-3 donated a free ambulance to Namo Buddha Municipality in Nepal. People living in the mountains of Nepal who need urgent medical assistance are carried to the hospital. Ambulance services are scarce in the area.
California Lions District C-3 has decided to provide an ambulance free of charge in response to the request of Kanchen Junga Lions Club and Namo Buddha Municipality of Kathmandu. The ambulance with all modern equipment was manufactured by Mahinda and Mahindra Company and brought to Nepal.
In a ceremony held in Banila, Kathmandu, California Lions District Governor James Varghese and Lions Clubs International President Brian Sheehan handed over the ambulance to Namobuddha Municipality Mayor Thanka Prasad Sharma.
