In 2022, the market for new passenger cars in Russia decreased by 59% to 626,300 vehicles. This is stated in the data of the “Passport of Industrial Consulting” (PPK) – a joint venture of the analytical agency “Avtostat” and the system of electronic vehicle passports.
These data practically coincide with the statistics of registrations of new passenger cars last year. According to Avtostat info, which Vedomosti has, in 2022, 629,923 cars were registered in Russia, which is 58% less compared to 2021. Thus, the passenger car market in Russia rolled back over the past year to the levels of the second half of the 1990s.
