It’s all about transportation – Israeli companies at CES

by time news

During the CES conference we visited the car booth and met with representatives of EYENET, No Traffic and Autoflyt

The CES exhibition is not only the largest computer and electronics exhibition in the world, but also the largest automobile exhibition in the USA. As such it has attracted many factors in the ecosystem of the automotive world. During our stroll through the north area of the Las Vegas Fairgrounds, we saw many different types of cars, autonomous vehicles, trucks, and even a John Deere agricultural device with tens of meters wide arms used for precise spraying and watering.

Not far from them, the transportation solution providers presented, including Israeli companies. We visited three of their booths.

At the EYEMET booth we met the CEO Dror Elbaz. EYENET provides safety solutions based on cellular technology. Our solution uses the GPS of the smartphone or of car systems such as the entertainment system, car cameras, dashboard. All users in the same area continuously transmit their location to the cloud. By advanced calculations and algorithms, the locations of the cars and their users are tracked in real time. In the event that the cars are on the verge of an accident, the system alerts all the vehicles involved to the anticipated danger in order to prevent the accident.”

“And not just for vehicles. The application on phones and other means will also allow pedestrians, cyclists and electric scooters to be protected in this way. Everyone on the road. The idea is to generate a critical mass of users in a certain area,”

“EYENET is not an app that can be downloaded from the app store, but an SDK software. The idea is to integrate the software into the systems of location-based service providers. Newt apps, fitness parking apps and more. For example, companies that provide shared driving such as bicycles or scooters already have a pool of users and allow them the additional layer of user protection.”

Tal Chrysler, founding partner and CEO of No-Traffic: “We developed a platform for traffic management that is today considered the leading in the world. Taking traffic lights that work in isolation and turning them into a network that works dynamically in order to improve the flow of traffic, raise the level of safety, and enable a variety of advanced traffic management services. This is done through the installation of sensors. In less than two hours, each node becomes part of a network connected to the cloud and working digitally.”

“Once the platform is installed, we know how to provide many mobility solutions. We work with the largest transportation departments in the USA: California, Texas, Pennsylvania and many other states in the USA and provinces in Canada. We were chosen by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential companies in the world alongside companies like Moderna.

“We founded the company at the end of 2017 under the understanding that the world of mobility works under several horizontal fields that work simultaneously and a traffic management system is required that will allow all those verticals to work together. The world of traffic management has not changed since the invention of traffic lights in 1914. Most traffic lights in the world work with traffic light programs. They are not even connected to anything. We had the opportunity to build a company of the largest size that investors in the company include venture capital funds such as Grove Ventures, the insurance company Menorah and Meitav Dash lool ventures, Next Gear Ventures and the North First Ventures fund.. The last two are British funds that invest in the field of mobility. Some of the investors are Uber executives who invest their own money.”

At the Autofleet company, we met Sima Magral, a member of the company’s management: “We present a system for optimizing vehicle fleets in everything related to regular operation and maintenance. All of this is done automatically to eliminate the need for unplanned downtime. The customers are from the fields of collaborative driving, but also more traditional companies such as truck and delivery taxi companies and we enable them to operate in new business models for example in the fields of deliveries and passengers. “

“In addition, we introduced the fleet management simulator that helps answer any business question and provides them with a forecast of what might happen in any change scenario they are planning and allows them to optimize the existing fleet so that they can do more with the fleet they already have and meet additional demands. :

“We also provide companies that wish to switch to electric vehicles with information that will allow them to make the transition correctly without impairing the level of service they are used to providing, help them manage the charging, and recommend whether they should build their own charging system or use the existing charging systems. An example is a driver of a delivery vehicle who needs to go out at peak hours on the roads, the system knows if he has enough power in the battery to finish the shift, when to send him to recharge when he reaches zero or 40% – according to the company’s decision.”
