Information has come out that the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny model has crossed a record of 5 thousand units in bookings.
At the recently concluded Auto Expo 2023, many companies showcased their production vehicles. Everyone knows that the most popular model is the Maruti Jimny 5-door SUV. The new Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door model, which was launched on January 12 to compete with the Mahindra Thar, has crossed the record of 5,000 units in bookings.
It seems that the new Jimny off-roader model will be available in two variants namely Zetta and Alpha. And in terms of looks, apart from the longer wheelbase, two extra doors, redesigned rear quarter, the Jimny 5-door version looks similar to the Jimny 3-door version sold in the international market. Round shaped headlamps, slotted grille, wide tires and flared wheel arches are offered.

Performance-wise, the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door model gets a new K15C unit. It is offered with either a 4-speed torque converter automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 104 HP of power and 134 Nm of torque. Being an off-roader, this car is equipped with a 4-wheel drive (4WD) system.

The interior features an all-black theme rocket design, high-mounted 9-inch touchscreen, HVAC controls, circular dials, dashboard-mounted grab handle. Apart from that, Maruti Smartplay Pro Plus infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity and Argamis sound system are offered.
