A large quantity of footwear, which was trying to be smuggled to Sri Lanka, was recovered in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu police have recovered a large quantity of footwear that was hidden on the Thanuskodi beach in Tamil Nadu with the intention of smuggling it to Sri Lanka.
These anklets were recovered during a search conducted by the police at Thanuskodi beach in Rameswaram district of Tamil Nadu yesterday at 7.30 pm.

The recovered anklets were packed in 3 compost bags and recovered by the police.

According to the police, 306 pairs of shoes worth more than 100,000 rupees were found in the recovered footwear.
