The Bombay High Court has granted interim bail to Videocon Group founder Venugopal in the ICICI Bank loan scam case.
During Chanda Kochhar’s tenure as the CEO of ICICI Bank, there was an allegation of concessions in lending to Videocon. In return for this, the CBI alleged that Videocon paid a huge amount to Chanda Kochhar’s husband’s company. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
In this regard, the founder of Videocon Group, Venugopal, was arrested last month and now the Bombay High Court has granted him interim bail.
