Guwahati: Shah Rukh Khan called Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma directly in the background of protests against the release of Pathan movie in Assam.
The Bollywood superstar called him directly after the Chief Minister responded to questions in a press conference saying who is Shah Rukh Khan and that he does not know about Pathan movie. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma himself informed through Twitter that Shah Rukh Khan called him directly at two in the morning.
Himanta Biswa Sharma tweeted that he has assured Shah Rukh Khan that he will ensure law and order in the state and that there will be no issues regarding the release of the film. Bajrang Dal workers had organized a protest in front of the theater where Pathan was being released in Nangeri, Assam. The posters of the film were also destroyed by the protesters. The chief minister’s reply to the journalists’ question about this was, “Who is Shah Rukh Khan? I don’t know anything about him or the movie Pathan.” Many people in Bollywood call him.
But Shah Rukh Khan has not called me. If he talks about it, he can intervene in the matter. Himanta Biswa Sharma also responded that if any kind of violation of the law has taken place, he will intervene in the matter. It was after this that Shahrukh Khan directly called the Chief Minister at two o’clock in the morning.
