The 19th edition of «Adopt a writer», the initiative to promote reading of the Turin International Book Fair, is launched in class and online, supported by the Association of Piedmont banking foundations in collaboration with the Foundation with the South . The 2021 edition will involve 37 authors who will be adopted by 19 schools, including primary and secondary of first and second grade, 2 universities and 13 prison schools from 8 Italian regions: Piedmont, Campania, Sicily, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sardinia and Lazio. For the first time, the project arrives at the Casa Prclusion of Turi and Cpia 2 Bari with the Bari-based writer and screenwriter Antonella Lattanzi (in the photo) and her “This day that incumbents” (Harper Collins Italy). “Adopt a writer is one of the most important projects of the Book Fair, for how it manages to bring students from schools all over Italy together with the most important, original and stimulating personalities of our cultural scene”, explains Nicola Lagioia, director of the Salone . “Being able to carry out all this during the pandemic – he adds – is an unexpected result, not taken for granted, and fills us with pride because it allows the Salone to respond to its highest vocation: the care and training of the new generations”.
