Kachirayapalayam: The police found and destroyed 8,000 liters of liquor which was hidden in Kalvarayan Hill for brewing liquor.
The police led by Kachirayapalayam Inspector Balakrishnan went on a liquor raid in villages including Kurumbalur Thumbaramptu in Kalvarayan Hill yesterday. At that time, they found and destroyed 4,100 liters of liquor liquor hidden in seven Syntex tanks in the forest area near Alamabadi, east stream of Kurumbaluar. The police have registered a case against two persons including Mayavan and Prabhu from Kurumbaluar village who escaped from there.
Likewise, they found and destroyed 4,000 liters of liquor hidden in plastic barrels in the valleys of East Kattu Kotai area of Tumbarampattu.
Kariyalur police have registered a case and are investigating.
