The World Health Organization announced tonight (Monday) the ‘Omicron’ variant that recently erupted as a ‘very high’ risk variant. The health organization also says that the illness that the variant can create can have “very serious consequences.”
The health organization also said that at the present time the situation is still in a fog of uncertainty regarding the new variant, but added that the likelihood of its spread around the world is real.
“The likelihood of a further spread of Omicron at the global level is high,” said the chairman of the World Health Organization.
He added that “when it comes to Omicron, global risk is now defined as ‘very high’.”
