In Tamil Nadu lakhs of people write the TNPSC exam. The number of Central Government Civil Services (UPSC) candidates is in thousands. This is due to lack of understanding, fear and ignorance about UPSC exam.
You can appear for Civil Services regardless of any degree. The candidate should be generalist. A degree is defined as an educational qualification because one must know all things. The exam will be conducted in 3 phases namely Main Exam, Main Exam and Interview. Syllabus based on intelligence and personality in main examination.
If you succeed in this then you have to prepare for the main exam. 1250 marks to write the exam. 500 marks in interview. A score of 900 to 1000 out of a total of 1750 marks is sure of success.
Until a few years ago, 30 percent students from Tamil Nadu cleared the civil services exam. It has now come down to 3 percent. If the focus on TNPSC is shifted towards civil services then Tamil Nadu will be ahead again.
This year’s civil services exam will be announced in February. Final year students can also appear for the exam. Exams will start in August. Marks in 10th, Plus 2 and Degree are not important. If you prepare with determination like you prepare for school exams, success is sure. He spoke thus.
