The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (Aemps) just updated the latest Pharmacovigilance report on Covid-19 Vaccines. In this document, published on January 19, has included new side effects corresponding to the administration of the Comirnaty (Pfizer) vaccines y Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca).
According to all the data on possible Adverse effects collected up to June 18, 2022, the European Committee for Risk Assessment in Pharmacovigilance (PRAC) has concluded that “there is at least a reasonable possibility of a causal relationship” with a new adverse reaction not included above.
The new side effect of the Pfizer vaccine
Among the side effects that occur most frequently after vaccination are “general disorders (fever and malaise)of the nervous system (headache and dizziness) and the musculoskeletal system (myalgia and arthralgia)», according to this document.
Now a new adverse reaction is added to the list that Health already provided: the dizzy feeling. The PRAC has detailed that this reaction is “infrequent” and that usually occurs up to 24 hours after the inoculation of the Comirnaty vaccine, from Pfizer.

So far, 111,293,866 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Spain, with 84,650 notifications of adverse events having been registered (as of December 31, 2022).
AstraZeneca also has a new side effect
The Comirnaty (Pfizer) vaccine is not the only one for which these pharmacovigilance data have been updated. Health has also included information on the Vaxzevria vaccine (AstraZeneca) compared to the data reflected in the previous report.
In this last evaluation, an adverse reaction not previously detailed related to the administration of the vaccine has also been included: the cutaneous vasculitis. This effect causes inflammation of the blood vessels in the skin, which can manifest as acnewith bruises or small spots on the skin.
