The Ministry of Disaster Management has reported that 124 people have died due to severe cold in Afghanistan for the past two weeks.
The Taliban has banned women from working in voluntary organizations. Protesting against this, many charitable organizations that can carry out relief work in times of calamity have suspended their activities.
This is also attributed to the increasing number of victims of extreme cold. However, the Taliban has made it clear that the ban on women working in charity organizations will continue.
