Coimbatore: In last year’s general examination, the schools which had a pass rate of less than 70 percent, an explanation was obtained from the principals about the measures taken to increase the pass rate in the current year.

A meeting for the Headmasters of Government Higher Secondary School was held yesterday at Government Higher Secondary School, Ondipuduar. In this, the results of the recent half-yearly examination were asked about the learning status of the students.

In the particular course, the details of those who failed and the reasons for it were discussed. In this, arrangements were made to deputize the surplus teachers in the assembly for the vacant subjects without teachers. Through special classes, educationally backward students were ordered to improve their learning ability.

According to the principals of the government higher secondary schools, the results of the half-yearly examination were analyzed for the students of class 10, plus 2 who were writing the public examination. In addition to this, clarification was sought regarding the preparations for the coming general examination in the schools with less than 70 percent pass rate in the last year’s general examination.
