The man who set himself on fire yesterday while Prime Minister Prasanda was leaving the Nepali Parliament died due to treatment.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, a member of the CPN-Maoist party, was elected as the new Prime Minister of Nepal last December.

In this case, when Prime Minister Prasanda left the Nepali Parliament yesterday afternoon, an unidentified person poured diesel and set him on fire.

While the Prime Minister was immediately taken away from the area, the security forces rescued the person who had set himself on fire and admitted him to the hospital.

The doctors said that the man who tried to commit suicide was given intensive treatment, but he died without treatment.

Police investigation revealed that the person who started the fire was Prem Prasad Acharya (37 years old) from Illam district.

Also, the prime minister’s reason for setting himself on fire at the time of his exit is still unknown. Police are still investigating.
