Lawsuit in Germany: Twitter does not fight anti-Semitism

A group of Jewish students and an anti-hate organization filed a lawsuit against the social network Twitter in a German court, claiming that the company does not remove anti-Semitic content.

The European Union of Jewish Students and the organization HateAid argued that there is not enough regulation on the social network when it comes to inflammatory hate speech.

The lawsuit, submitted to the court in Berlin, refers to six allegedly anti-Semitic tweets, which were not deleted even though they were reported. On one of the occasions, Twitter even specifically refused to remove a tweet that denied the Holocaust. As I recall, in Germany Holocaust denial is a crime.

Is Trump on his way back to Facebook?

Twitter declined to comment on the report.

As you remember, the lawsuit comes against the background of many storms regarding Twitter since Elon Musk bought the company. Among other things, Musk approved for Trump to return to the network (although he refused), and allowed anyone to buy a Blue Vee for a fee, which made it difficult to answer the question of who is indeed a verified account.
