They pulled out a knife in broad daylight: an attempted robbery in the Crown Heights neighborhood

by time news

Yesterday (Tuesday) around 2:15 pm on Empire Street on Troy Avenue in Crown Heights, a group of African-American boys pulled a knife on a Chabad Hasidic boy and tried to rob him of his cell phone.

The suspects immediately fled the scene and the devotee was miraculously unharmed.

Before the event in question, another incident occurred in the neighborhood on the same day, on Montgomery Street on Schenectady Avenue around 1:00 PM, when African-American boys attacked a Chabad Hasidic man. These attackers also fled the scene.

The police and the ‘Samura’ organization in the King neighborhood – Crown Heights view the acts very seriously and ask for the public’s help in identifying the attackers.

The ‘Mirah’ organization told Chabad Info that in recent weeks many residents have been reporting thefts and various anti-Semitic incidents, and there is a strong fear that the attackers are the same or related to all the recent cases.

It was also reported from the ‘Mihra’ that since there is now a high wave of crime “please be alert and in case of emergency, call 911 or the ‘Mihra’ organization”.
