Dilapidated, lame internet, shortage of teachers: What are your experiences with German schools? | life & knowledge

by time news

It is hard to believe the circumstances under which our children are sometimes taught.

Another topic of anger in Germany in 2023: Parents’ associations and teachers’ unions continue to criticize the investment backlog in schools and complain about the dilapidated conditions in and on the buildings. In some cases, the teaching conditions are so bad that there is a “real danger for students and teachers”. In large cities, there is often violence against teachers or classmates.

Even if people get along well, classrooms have been modernized, toilets are in order or gymnasiums are in top condition: then in many places there is a lack of fast internet, computers and tablets. And to make matters worse, there is still a shortage of teachers in many places, which means that there is a considerable drop in classes.

What are YOU experiencing at your school?

BILD would like to document the situation in our schools.

Take (or your children) photos (and short videos if you like) and describe your very personal experiences of your school. E-mail address for your submission: [email protected].

IMPORTANT: State your name, age, place of residence and the grade level of your children. Please also remember your cell phone number for queries from the BILD editorial team.
