CHENNAI: Adhi Dravidian and tribal students pursuing Ph.D. should apply by Feb. 10 to get educational incentives.
Various scholarship schemes are implemented for Adi Dravidian, tribal and Christian converted Adi Dravidian students. Among them, the Education Incentive Scheme for students pursuing full-time doctoral studies, Ph.D.
To be eligible under this scheme, the family income has been raised to 8 lakh rupees per annum. An educational incentive of Rs 1 lakh per eligible student will be given to 1,600 students. Applications are invited for current academic year scholarship. The application can be downloaded from the website www.tn.gov.in/forma/deptname/1.
The completed applications should be sent to the address ‘Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare Directorate, Ezhilakam, Chepakkam, Chennai – 5’ by February 10, said Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Secretary Jawahar.
