Samsung is expanding its series of gaming monitors under the Odyssey brand with another model, this time with a 43-inch flat screen. Odyssey Neo G7 has a 4K resolution panel, with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a response time of 1 millisecond. This is a panel equipped with Quantom Mini-LED backlighting, and brightness that complies with the HDR600 standard.
The Odyssey Neo G7 is initially configured as a gaming monitor, with connection to a computer via DisplayPort or HDMI 2.1 input and support for FreeSync Premium Pro for perfect synchronization. Various data such as the frame rate (FPS) and the display status (for example – whether the HDR is activated or not) can be displayed on the screen at any time.
However, it is also a smart TV based on the Tizen operating system, with a variety of pre-installed applications both for content consumption, such as YouTube and Netflix, and for games through cloud services such as Xbox Cloud Gamung or Nvidia’s GeForce Now. The screen even has a built-in Bluetooth connection, so you can connect a wireless game controller to it and play without having to connect to a computer at all.
The screen comes with a stand that allows tilting up and down, and also hanging on a wall. More in the specifications: a pair of USB 3.0 connections, a wired Internet connection or through Wi-Fi 5, and a pair of built-in speakers with a power of 20 watts.
The screen is expected to be released during the first quarter of this year, but the exact price has not yet been determined.
