by time news

The rise of the extreme right in Sweden is showing its signs, a few days ago there was a protest in the country, during which one of the protesters burned a Koran, the holy book of Islam. As a result, there was a large protest in the Arab world demanding to take steps against the phenomenon.

The same demonstrators planned to hold another demonstration with the same approach, but this time in front of the Israeli Embassy, during which Torah scrolls were supposed to be burned by the demonstrators. For now, it has been determined that this demonstration was canceled following diplomatic appeals from Israel to the Swedes, but it is not at all certain that it will not take place in the future or even in the near future.

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen: “I welcome the determined activity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Embassy in Sweden against the Swedish authorities that led to the cancellation of the abominable demonstration that was planned to take place in front of the Israeli Embassy in Sweden, during which there was an intention to burn a Bible book.”
