Russia Ukraine War: As Russia’s war on Ukraine approaches one year, many countries are extending a helping hand to Ukraine. Ukraine’s ambassador to France confirmed that 321 tanks decided to be sent to Ukraine by Western countries will arrive in a few days.
“As of today, several countries have officially confirmed the agreement to supply 321 heavy artillery tanks to Ukraine,” Ukraine’s ambassador to France Vadim Omelchenko said in an interview with French TV station BFM on Friday (January 27).
“Delivery terms for tanks sent by each country vary, and we need this help as soon as possible,” he added.

The ambassador of Ukraine, informed about the total number of artillery vehicles that will be available to Ukraine, did not give specific figures on which countries and how many tanks will be provided. While the US has promised to supply 31 M1 Abrams tanks, Germany has reportedly agreed to send 14 Leopard 2 A6s tanks.
Earlier, the UK pledged to send 14 Challenger 2 tanks, while Poland has reportedly asked Germany to send its Leopard 2s tanks to Ukraine. It is noteworthy that this is the purchase order that Poland had already given to Germany.
America crossing the red line
North Korea, meanwhile, has slammed countries that send tanks to Ukraine, saying they are “crossing a red line” to gain hegemony through proxy warfare.

In this regard, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s sister Kim Yo Jong, who condemned the United States and its allies, said that North Korea is ready for a conflict like Russia against the United States.
“I am deeply concerned that the United States is escalating the belligerent situation by providing ground attack military equipment to Ukraine,” Kim Yo Jong said in a statement.
The statement added that the United States and Western countries “have neither the right nor the justification to vilify the exercise of the right of self-defense by sovereign states.”
